March was full of guests, fun, laughter, and adventure! To begin the month, Chad and Alissa Christiansen came up to the Chicago Headquarters to teach the staff their In The Gap training. We were blessed with many valuable tips on how to witness to children, teach children character, and boldly share your faith. Robert’s sister, Esther, came to help teach and added a fun dimension on the skits and lesson plans! We ended our time with the Christiansens by celebrating Alissa’s birthday at our home ~ complete with a DELICIOUS ice cream cake the girls’ made!
The Staddons have been working on editing a book on music written by Dad Staddon and this was the final editing session! Woohoo!
One afternoon, Liz Miller, Claire and I went out with Ara before she left for home. That is one difficult part about living around here…the staff changes and you make friends, then receive the opportunity to continue praying for them as they head home to minister in their community. God bless you, Ara!
Robert and I have been attending monthly meeting and appointments with our midwife, and there is the greatest state park on our way home: Starved Rock. It always provides a nice walk after a long drive and I love the smell of trees and plants just beginning to bloom in the spring! Baby “KeBo” is about 30 weeks along in this picture!
A group of us enjoyed fellowship at Cracker Barrel one Sunday afternoon. I tried grits for the first time, and let’s just say that Robert finished them. I have yet to acquire a taste for this particular southern food!
With all the wonderful things that have happened this month, one of the best for me was having my brother, Jevenn, come to visit! I hadn’t seen him since our wedding last June so we had much catching up to do! He stayed for 10 days…and did we ever pack things into those 10 days, too!

Beautiful pictures!
I remember the first time we officially tried grits as a family – at the Neely’s house!!! You have to have them fixed just right, and they are wonderful =) (Some people like brown sugar and syrup, but we love them with butter and salt!)
We are excited about baby Staddon and look forward to meeting him/her!!!

Although I’ve never met you, I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog! I check it often and really enjoy reading the updates about your life 🙂
Do you know if your baby is going to be a boy or a girl?
Blessings!
Bethany
Sarah, we’re looking forward to meeting Baby Staddon soon, too! I’m going to be posting an April update hopefully tomorrow and there is a better picture of “KeBo” in that group of pictures. 🙂 Thanks, Christina, for your kind words! I have my brother, Kerzdenn, to thank for teaching me how to take pictures and properly use a camera! You can see his incredible photography on his website @ http://infinityfocus.ca. Bethany, thanks for visiting our site and I hope someday we’ll be able to meet you! We’re waiting until the birth to find out the gender so stayed tuned for the gender and name…coming soon! 🙂
Hi!
I’m joy, Though I’ve never met you, I saw you at HQ when I was on the Girls JTTH in November of last year. My dad has followed the staddons blog, even before you and Robert started courting! I almost said hi because I was like “OH! There’s Kendalyn!” But then I had to remind myself that I didn’t actually know you lol! I hope the Lord allows us to meet someday! I’m Charity’s sister, by the way.
That’s so cool that you guys got to celebrate Passover! This year was mine, and my mom’s first time, too. We were able to go to a jewish couple’s house and partake of it with them. It was very cool! (I’ll be posting photos of the passover dinner on my blog soon. =) http://www.Joyousinspirations.blogspot.com)
Congrats on the baby! I can hardly wait to see photos. =)
Joy Anna Roberts.
Next time you’re at HQ, please stop by and say hi if I haven’t spotted you yet! I’d love to meet you face to face, Joy, and thanks for the link to your blog! Great job! I love spending time with Charity so I hope I get to meet her entire family someday!
How exciting! GOd bless your May too!
See you later.
