We have had some lovely family pictures with Sauntina, but she often gets so focused on the camera that it is nearly impossible to coaxed a smile from her! As a result…we have no family pictures of her smiling.
This afternoon following church, we braved the weather threatening to pour the much-needed rain, worked quickly before Sauntina realized that she needed a nap quite badly, and with Uncle Daniel making her laugh and Aunt Esther (and Sarah!) taking pictures, we ended up with quite an array of expressions from our little girl! The first is the “good” picture and the rest explain the adventure of achieving our goal!

The pictures are amazing, We also took family photo’s yesterday and know exactly what y’all went through (times 8 LOL) after 482 shots we may have one. We will post them soon.

Robert & Kendalyn what a beautiful family God has blessed you with! My favorite is the first one with “everybody” smiling; but the last one is precious (make even more so by the caption you put under it)! Daniel did a good job of getting Sauntina to smile; especially with her being sleepy.

I remember those days! We had our last baby just before flying back to the US from England. We already had our tickets but no appointment for her passport! We tried and tried and tried on several different days to get a picture of her with eyes open and mouth shut. Wow! That’s hard! We tried inside, outside, morning, noon, evening. We even put a sheet on an ironing board and took it outside to get good light with a plain background. Nothing worked! The pictures are funny, though. I have laughed at them until I cried. 🙂 We finally made an “emergency” appointment with a photo studio and he got a useable picture in
TWO shots!
I did think that last picture was priceless. Captions really bring out the personality of a shot. 🙂
